Lots of people mount their extinguisher right on top of the battery.
lots of people use their house like a piggy bank to
i don't know sounds like a bad idea to me besides Ive seen the aftermath of a blown extinguisher in the kawi holders not so good especially if its in the engine area i though about putting the extinguisher in a case but the case would have to be really tough/heavy so WHEN the extinguisher goes off inside the case it wont explode

That's why people wrap it in turf.

If you don't like the idea of having it inside the bilge, I guess you'll have to be either inventive in sticking it on the outside, or not run one.

difference is this is not inside the kawi tube.......
it won't but loose and sliding around in a tube to break the nozzle

I went thru the same arguement. I just picked up two SN extinguisher holders for my RN's. One for $15 shipped and another one already turfed for $20 shipped. Both included all mounting hardware.

Just seemed like the best solution to me. I am also used to riding squares so I like using it as a front foothold as well.

If you mount the SN holder on top of the plastic dash of the round nose and just off of the bottom of the tray it makes a front foothold tight enough that you can actualy wedge your foot under.

Or you could wrap your extinguisher in wax paper and sit it in the engine bay. Then mix up a quart of expanding foam and pour it around the extinguisher so it has it's own performed holder.

There won't be any powder issues with either one of those ideas.
