I plan on using dual 44s (surprise) and wonder if any other Lamey 5mm flat-top users are out there . . . ? And what their jetting is if they are using 44s

Where's your engine man that set-up the head design, compression ratio, cylinder porting and general setup of the pipe and cooling system?
He should KNOW if he's selling you this set-up!!! I always have a package set-up for my freestyle motors...

Chuck, actually I'm considering running my carbs the way you've described to me in the past.

Paul has my motor, and I haven't drilled him yet on exactly how to set the carbs up.

The one's that I have are a matched set of 44s, with new butterflys, perfect N/S, and most internal gaskets are new as well.

All I've heard lately is that 44s hit harder than 46s . . . I have some 46s also and might try them just to make sure, but when I recently switched over to 44s they did run much better.

85mm flat top, stock stroke, Honda/Lenzi port, 180 psi ADA head?
If that's your set-up, you will LOVE it!! (that's what I got from Paul).

I'm running OEM 44's on a stock manifold, and I think the crossover tube is causing me some problems.
If you have aftermarket 44's on an aftermarket manifold, Pauls jetting recomendations should work well.

FYI, my jetting is currently 120/135/2.5/80g LSS 2 turns HSS 2 turns.
You should be no where near that, though.

i am just filly the one on my manifold now for my new race carb setup
I love the stock 760 manifold it works very well
Its a bit tight on the shortside radius but fix that and awesome

are you using the stock manifold and 44's with a lamey cylinder? IF so im curious how that is working out? I have the same thing debating on getting a different intake setup.

I have used the stock 44s in alot of cases
on my lamey stroker i had the stock manifold with 46s
on i do find the 46s are a better carb with more punch
however the 44s are a killer carb as well
Then i went to 48 novis on this manifold its a great thing it needs a bit of a rework but other than that its a great manifold

Regarding your oem 44
I think they are one of the best free ride carbs you can get
They hit hard dont load up and seem to do every thing just about right
Bear in mind the 760 manifold doesnt have the airspeed of say a protec manifold so you have to go up one size lower on the bottom to get them to hit the same

I have an riva manifold as well, what's the difference in airspeed?

I plan on matching the stocker to the deltaforce II reeds . . .

What's close together? I got OEM 44's on a Riva manifold, and the throttle shafts have to be linked with a 1-1/2 inch rubber coupler.

Aren't there two different Riva manifolds?

I have seen a rive like that to mile
I used to think it was only the r&d
but not long ago i saw a riva with the close together manifold as well
Most of the riva ones have correct 108 ?? mm spread

What is bad about the carbs being close together on the original R&D manifolds? I have been told that the dominator is much better, but I thought it was only because the setup allowed for the carbs to be removed alot easier. Whats the scoop?

Well, having the carbs closer might throw off the balance of the incoming air. That might not be a bad thing, I don't know, but the wider spacing sure makes it easier to get to the screws!
