Just thought i would share these pics of Lake Havasu ,Az. on new years eve 12 /31/2014 its a rarity that snow ever reaches the ground in this desert community ,especially anything more than hail .after all it is one of the warmest extreme climates on earth for most of the year ,here are a couple of photos of mother nature breaking the rules .
I've been in snow and all but to have it snow in my town which it's only done once ever I believe and to experience it in my lifetime was amazing! Going from 120+ degrees to 30 degrees sucks pipi tho! Burrrr
Nice shots btw
Fun day at work, enjoyed the snow while it lasted.
Yup, crazy man! Been here 12 years and never seen this much snow. That night it rained and froze.. I had to dig out my old trusty window scraper that I used to use back in Nebraska! Never thought Id use that thing around here.. almost threw it away a few months ago haha.
It snows down here in Tucson about once every 3 years...usually toward the end of February or being of March. It snowed around 8-9pm New Year's Eve down here and stuck a little bit in the morning but was gone by noon.
