SN waterbox in RN superjet? Will it suffer?

I've bought this superjet, a 2000 RN, I did not notice at first, but seems like they fitted a SN waterbox in the RN hull. All hoses fit right.
I've never used a standup before so I cannot compare, but will the SN waterbox restrict anything? I'Ve read somewhere that it's smaller in diameter, am I running into problems?

I've bought a used B Pipe that I wanted to install later on, should I expect a lesser performane gain cuz of this waterbox?

thanks

You sure it's a sn box? I've never heard of anyone doing this in a rn. Does it look like this?

I would be concerned that some put a 650 engine in it as well. These aren't really designed to handle the power of a 701, especially with a b pipe added. I don't think it will limit performance too much but the baffles will probably fail with the b pipe. I would suggest replacing it with a rn one, they come up for sale on here quit often for around $150.

It'll feel pretty restricted when the fiberglass inevitably blows apart. SN box is trash, don't do it.

Yes, indeed, it's a SN waterbox, which has been completly coated with what looks like bed truck liner. It looks pretty good to my opinion compared to the OEM look. I am attaching a pic.
I confirm I'm having a 701 engine, 62T base, twin 38mm carb, 61x Cyls. They were all hooked up to this waterbox. Never got to try the ski however.

If possible, I'd run it temporarily, but I don't want to mess anything and I would prefer having a good/reasonable performance out of the ski.

If most people tells me not to use it, I wont.

Thanks

I ran one in a 62t/61x with head and pipe and it did not blow up, but I was always scared that it would. I ditched it last season out of fear.

I ran one for a few seasons in my SN ski that had a lightly ported 701 and a coffman pipe. You just never know when the guts will give out. If I were you I'd keep an eye out of one for sale on here or post something in the WTB section and run the SN box until then. You might be able to sell yours on ebay for $50 or so to offset the rn box cost.

I paid 175.00 for a RN one used because I bought an aftermarket one, gave away my stock RN one and went deaf and pissed everybody off. Get a RN one and ditch that SN one.
