SN to RN pole adapter

A lot of people when they do the RN pole conversion on their squares have got to grind the end of the pole and the bracket in order to get it to extend far enough. This is because the SN bracket location is on an angle whereas the RN is more flat. I was wondering if anyone had ever used (or does anyone make) a small metal wedge that could be used as an adapter to make the bracket mount flatter and be able to stick to an easier aka no griding install?
not an artist but mocked this up in paint to explain easier. im talking about the red portion, which i made bigger than would need to be in order to express what i mean.

I found it much easier to move the hood hooks out further apart and do away with the stop. No need for any pole grinding.
A limiting rope is a must but the pole goes up all the way.
