SN Ride Plate: No mounts for stock Bilge hose?

Hi All,

I have a 91 superjet and I just purchased a Worx WR305 ride plate for it. The original plate had mounts on it to bolt the siphon bilge hose system down, but this new one does not. Does anyone have recommendations for how to go about installing the ride pate properly?

I have a rule500 bilge, so I could just remove it, but that leaves me with a hole on the side of my jet assembly. Is this okay? Or would it be better to cut the heavy rubber mount off and just let that bypass hose dangle.

Any recommendations would be helpful. I haven't been able to find anything on this yet..

Find yourself an aluminum 61x reduction nozzle with the bilge fitting. You will have to fill the large bilge bung fitting on the side of your pump where the old bilge hose attached but the 61x nozzle works much better.

Seem to recall reading an article many years ago about upgrading the siphon arrangement on early Superjets. Apparently the original set up reduced the thrust measurably and it was recommended to go to the later set up (I believe '93 onwards) to improve performance. I think Mike W's suggestion effectively accomplishes this.

An unintended consequence, but you'll probably see both a handling AND performance improvement once you've changed both the ride plate and nozzle.

This. Only this.

Had a look up the rear of my '93 regular ride and '91 I bought recently as a project. The '93 has been modified with the 61X nozzle. The bilge fitting on the stator section has been filled with a brass bolt and appears to have been glued in. Has held up for the 10 years I have owned it and has survived the thrust of a B-piped 760. Previous owner was a prominent racer in Oz and built the 'ski. I guess you could say it's a viable way to seal the bilge fitting.

Dug out the magazine article I mentioned earlier from the September 1994 issue of Watercraft World. They reckon the change to a later set up was worth an extra 1.4 mph!

If they upload you'll see attached images of my two 'ski's for reference.
