Super Jet SN no spark???

I have a SN w/no spark, pulled the coil off a working ski and still same thing. I was told it is most likely the stator behind the flywheel that is probably corroded, rusty etc? But then I was reading on here that the next step is to try the CDI box. Any input would be helpful.

PS - I have a working ski so I can swap parts and try them out. Is the CDI box in the electrical box also? Opposite side of the coil? (thanks for your patience as I'm new to ignition troubleshooting, all my past problems have been air or fuel)

The CDI is the black box with a bunch of wires inside the electrical box.
Try that first. If that's not the problem, then the stator is next.

check start stop switch too
if the kill switch is corroded closed or otherwise "made"
it would cause the same thing

Yes, forgot the simplest solution. Thanks tor*p*do.
Simply unplug the stop switch at the ebox (the black 2-pin connector). Be aware that your stop switch won't work now.
