Need to know the rivet size.. Gonna be gluing it in with g flex so I'm going with aluminum rivets to hold it tight.

There is a a benefit to going larger even with a 701. That thru hull tube was designed around a 650.

I run RN tubes in any personal SN of mine.

Rad dudes sells a tube the size of the RN tube.

I glued my tube in with thickened epoxy.

Sorry, but I wasn't planning on forking out more cash for an exhaust tube that's supposedly better when I've never heard of a stocker being a problem.
Maybe I'd think about if it I wasn't on a tight budget, but that also requires drilling another hole and/or getting a new flange welded on, etc.

I used the same hole as stock but lowered the front hole to clear my foothold.

I was Just suggesting to do it while the tray is open. If you decide to change it later it's much more difficult.

its not that hard really. and if you plan to upgrade from a 650 you will be glad you did. i have ran them both ways mod 701 with small tube and large tube. its not a huge difference, but enough to tell.

still a small tube. it wont matter, just run it! you will probably get a different hull before you need the extra breathing room most likely.
if you still want to you can get aluminum or stainless tubing and make it.
mine is just 6061 aluminum. total cost was about 35 with shipping and glue.

Yeah! I won't be running more than a limited 701 in my sn ever. And I'll still have that platform when I go to an a/m hull in a few years.

Ok, 90-93 SJ had the 6m6 650 with the 2" exhaust through hull pipe. The 94/95 with the 701 61X has the 2.25" exhaust like the RN. So you are good Roseand.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Who knows if the vin tag is really correct on the one I have. But it says 94. I believe it uses larger midshaft and it definitely had the small stainless exhaust tube. I had a hell of a time getting it out.

(for the guys concerned with weight, the stainless tube is probably 1-2 pounds heavier than the RN aluminum tube)
