I have a 92 SJ that I plan on dropping a 62t/62t 701 out of a Raider into. Will the smaller intermediate shaft housing and bearings of the pre 1994 SJ be ok with the bigger motor? Are there any AM housings or adapter plates (to use later yr housing) available. Or will I be just fine running the bigger motor with the original shaft and housing?

I ran a 701 in my 1990 SN. Stock midshaft housing held up fine.

That smaller mid bearing is the only one that will fit on your hull. As long as your bearings are good you will be fine. If not contact jet maniac to have your bearing rebuilt

it should work just fine. i had an 845 group k in my sn and never had a problem.
