That one jett linked to is the same one I have been thinking about trying.... Damn you stole my idea!

A smaller gas tank isnt gonna make be roll or flip, but I hate the look of that stocker. I think this one would look trick, hold less(no swea) , and I beilive its already full of that magic foam !

I even thought about a 3 and 1 that you could switch??? Just a athought, If the strap in the same way it would be very simple?!?

I was curious to see it installed.

Looking at the pictures though, I see a lot of parts that will rust over time, and very quicky in a salt environment. The rotating petcock with zinc/cad plating doesn't look too resistant to corrosion, nor does the top plate/ring. You might go through and replace them. Can you add a second fuel supply fitting for dual carbs?

i'd just make it return into my exhost line, to make for a cool flame effect out the side of the ski..

Cause I wanna be cool like Eric.....

J/K......I originally bought it for the Octane so It wouldn't be as cramped. The battery trey tab has about rubbed a hole in the stock gas tank. I think I fix the problem and it works its way back. :banghead:
I also wanted it to save weight. If I only have a gallon of fuel in my 4.5 gal tank, I think it has more of a chance to suck air than in the smaller tank with foam. I always over filled my 4.5 gallon tank too.

I'm not sure what ski its going to wind up in now...

^^^^^^I here ya BK. One gallon in a One gallon tank wont slosh around like 1 gallon in a 5 gallon tank. I think it would make the boat look much cleaner as well. I ride surf though, so I would probably chose the three gallon. The stock tank can me a mother f-er to pull out of the boat to work on as well. I will be a poser and probably get the 3 gallon tank, but not just for weight reasons Waste land.

Just order four of the elbow kits and put all of the fittings on top of the tank. the petcock model is for gravity feed carbs. I run a vent fitting and the one that's built in the cap just to make sure no fuel starvation problems with dual suck gas carbs! The one gallon is what we use for freestyle competition ski's. (about 15-20 mins ride time) It also allows you to mount a smaller battery down in front of the motor! you will be able to pull off BR's a lot easier! And yes Joe it's not real saltwater friendly, you will need to keep the cap ring sprayed down with corrosion blocker.

If you run an internal filler and a MOD chamber, the stock tank is effortless to remove. I can pull out my tank with 4.8 gallons in it in about 15 seconds. AND you don't have to remove the battery tray.

If someone made a black plastic OEM tank, I'd be all over that.

^^^^^I run neither of those......A smaller tank would still make it less clutered, and my B-pipe is about to burn through my stock tank. May as well try one of these out. Thanks for the Info though.
