sluggish bilge

My bile started acting up this weekend at wave rave, it turns on but is very slow and builds up speed, sometimes it doesnt turn on or turns off in use. Its a rule 800. Is the thing just shot, or is there a way to take it apart? I checked the connections by just squeezing around where I taped.

hah the electric connections, but the bilge still seems possesed the way it starts slow and gets faster.

i had this on the two pumps that i ran
i found it to be the connections they had water ingress and it travels up the cable to the pump
two pumps later i found this great tape called self (a mal ge mating)dont know the correct spelling)tape
the tape strecthes to over 40% its orginial length and once wrapped around anything it shrinks to creates a water tight seal

they get wet, and the wires turn green.

its either a piss poor connection ( likely if they arent soldered, and heat shrinked)

or the pump is simply going out.
might have a bushing/bearing that is worn.
