Super Jet Sleeves - worth attempting to use?

Picked up a used 61x cylinder with one sleeve in less than desirable condition. The sleeves are already .5mm over at 81.5mm.

I want to use my new @yamanube porting templates and figured these would be good victims to learn on.

My main concern is this big hunk out of the top of the sleeve.

It looks like I'd need to have it bored another 1.5mm to get beyond the damage. That would put me at 82mm, which I believe is max bore on 61x 701 cylinders.

So... three questions:

Do the sleeves have to be back in the cast aluminum cylinder for someone to bore them?

Does anybody have a gently used set of 82mm pistons they're looking to separate with?

Is it worth it to take these out to the last bore?

You would actually have to bore 3 mm to get rid of that chunk thats missing out of the top. That puts you beyond the serviceable limit. I would call those sleeves a loss.

Sleeves must be installed to bore.
But in ur 2nd pic u can see the chip has a crack so i would replace them. Cantact @JetManiac we have used sleeves and if u want them maybe a used set of 82mm pistons
