i would think it would work fine if you bolted bunks across it. they would spread the load out and reinforce to roof at the same time.

Ya, some kind of rack would best for sure. Just setting them on there would crush on the top. Is the top aluminum or fiberglass/gel coat?
i have an older coleman and was considering putting a roof top ac unit weighing 100 pounds and was told there is a OE support system that HAD to be added before this could be done or the roof would sag . You may be able to make an aluminum frame to support the load . it is a Good idea i'll make a call and see what my pop up mech says . i love my " little house of straw " .
