Super Jet Ski won't start after hard landing...

After a hard day of riding I landed off a wave kind of hard but not too bad. My 94 sj died instantly. I got it to start eventually and ran great until I shut it off, then again struggled to start. Once I got into my shop it would no longer start. After checking to make sure I have good fuel and spark, I took apart the carb, which was good. At this point I couldn't figure it out. So I finally pulled the flywheel cover only to find the flywheel to have a broken tooth. Would this cause it to not start? The flywheel is a jetinetics 0314 charging flywheel.

Any input is very much appreciated.

Thanks, Jake

where is the tooth thats is the question!!! if its bouncing around in there it can shut the motor off and chew your stator and flywheel up. pull the wheel and check your stator for damage!!
