SKi wont shut off?

I cant get my ski to turn off, I took my switch apart and it looked ok. Then I looked at the connectors and they looked perfect. Whats the next step. It is a 90' SJ w/ a 650. To turn it off I had to pull the plug wires, It doesnt rev so I dont think its dieseling.

kill switch is black and white wire, connector is between E box and carb, on right side of hull standing in tray.

connectors get dirty, maybe its pinched.

pushing the red button, should put the white and black wires together, and killing the spark.

disconnect black white wires at connector, put meter into the end going towards teh pole, put on the Omega ( ohm) resistance setting, push red button. should go fron infinity to nearly zerop when pressed.

if it doesnt, youve got wire, connector, switch issues.

take a paper clip, insert into OTHER end of connector going towards E box, that shoudl kill the engine when its running.

When I hoked the meter up it went from 0-over 100. Do I have something backwards? When I hit the red button it jumps, same with the lanyard button. Any other ideas?

crank the ski.

put a paper clip, or needle nose pliars down into the connector going TO the e box for the white/black wires.

Emulate the switch being closed at the bar, and see if that kills it.

if it DOES, then your issue is the bar switch or wires to there.

if it doest kill it, your problem is beyond that connector

Not a problem man,

if you cant figure out Ill give you a call tonight if you want, IM terrible at trying to type and describe how to do stuff, Ive learned im hard to follow.

somethign about being terrible at grammer and punkuashun.

So I did the paperclip test and it killed it. So that means the CDI is fine. I plugged the black and white connector together and hit the stop button and it killed it. It fixed itself. Thanks for yourt help Mouthfull
