Ski sunk, now vibrating horribly

So we had a huge storm come through last night and it flipped my ski upside down into the water. Got it out this morning, didn’t try to start it, and pulled the plugs. Took a real long time to get all the water out but it’s pretty dry now. Got it to turn over and eventually start but now the engine is violently vibrating, is it toast or is there hope?

Check compression. I'm betting a rod was bent
"didn’t try to start it, and pulled the plugs." If he got all the water out then rod not bent, if you got all the water out of the motor and when rolling back over water came back from exhaust and filled cylinders then, yes, could have been a rod. Look in your pump to see if there is debris in your prop / pump area..........

Broken reed can make it run like crap so that could be the issue. Also check your throttle butterflies. I broke a reed and bent a butterfly trying to get all the water out of my engine after it sank once.

Its definitely going to run terrible and uneven with a completely broken reed petal being wide open to the carb like that.
Take out the crank and inspect bearings and maybe you will see more problems.
You’re saying the ski was underwater overnight basically? Saltwater or freshwater?
Im suprised that the crank bearing could get ruined so quickly when you did the right thing by not trying to start it.
Unless there was a ton of water in the exhaust and waterbox that came back into the engine and caused hydrolock damage..

Let us know how it goes man!
