I decided to stick with my dual 44's on my setup. I was contemplating dual Novis, a single Riva 48, or a single FS 49.
My current carb setup works very well, there is nothing wrong with it.
My ski may be unreliable, but my carbs are not.
My total loss ignition will get one more attempt to get things done right - I have water intrusion issues into the flywheel area and some of the wiring.
I will pull the starter and see if it's leaking there.
If I cannot get reliability, I will sell it and switch to a stock setup with a lightened stock FW.
Oh yeah....I just ordered some Tubbie II's. Riding in the surf, I noticed a really annoying tendency of the ski to nosedive.
Realistically, I won't be hitting the surf more than 2-3 times per year, but I think I might like the handling differences on flatwater, too.
I am done with motor mods - all I want at this point is reliability.
