Custom/Hybrid Ski Runs for first 5 minutes then bogs

Already July and my ski still doesn't run right. I prime the ski,runs like a champ for first 4 or 5 minutes then bogs out. I noticed the front pulse line is not hooked up and there seems to be no fuel line going into the front carb. Should it be like this? I will get pics up soon

What carbs are you running? Is there a fuel pump on each carb?

Stock superjet 38's

Those have one feed from the tank to the in of the carb with the fuel pump. The out of that carb is linked to the in of the other. The out of the second carb goes back to the tank. You will only have one pulse line hooked up.
Check your one-way-valve on the tank.

Should the sOpen pulse line be capped off then?

I would guess and say you're running lean, so don't keep riding it like that or you could cause damage. Take the carbs apart, inspect EVERYTHING and clean EVERYTHING and put it all back together. You may even need bigger jets, but start by cleaning the hell out of yours.

I had a slightly similar problem and after I did the above, it ran like a champ.

if you have 2 pulse fitting on the cases than YES the one not being used needs to be capped off.

x2 exactly. It will run lean and can easily cause damage running with uncapped pulse line!

That's the problem, there isn't anyone around here that knows custom skis like this
