Nice set-up. And yet another winter project for me. The only thing I will add is some angle across the front top rail of the bed. I had a snowblower in a couple years ago and had to slam on the brakes. The blower bent the bed rail into the back of the cab. Excellent low buk set-up. Thanks!

I posted a picture up to show the detail but I forgot to mention that I reinforced the box front with piece angle iron, They just don't have the strength to support such a task.

Do you have a Hemi?
I have the Hemi and don't do that well on fuel economy.

How does it handle with that much weight up that high in the bed? I don't have air bags and don't really want to add them.
I don't mind pulling the trailer, but this would be nice for Daytona next year. Don't have to worry about trailer bearings and better MPG for the long trip down.

My hemi wouldnt touch 14mpg unladed on the highway. It was all time all wheel drive though

Wow! Seriously? I get 14 running around town. Normally at 75 to 80 on the highway I get in the 17's. If I slow it down I can get a little better than that.

Mine was the first year so it didnt have the cyl shut down thing and like i said, it was all time all wheel drive 4 door, half ton short bed. MAYBE 13.8 on the highway once.
