12/17 eh? That 13/18 felt mighty fine.
Methinks I got a bit more power than a limited though. (not much)

Mighty fine.

You tell me. I got it from you.
The surface looked just like the Skat I run now. It definetely wasn't polished.

The 13/16 Concord seems to be popular choice for a wide variety of motors.

Like I said, I'll do a back-to-back comparison and post results.

PS: Does the Concord come polished?

Charles let me try out a 14/18 superslim line in my ski and hits a lot harder than the stock prop of course, but it sounds like it's rubbing on the wear ring.

When the ski gets out of the water I hear a rubbing noise. Is that normal after just putting a prop in? Charles suggested that it was because the ski has been used in saltwater most of the time. What do you all think?

id agree .one of my old pum,ps rubbed a little from salt water.

I've said this before, I think some people use too low of a pitch. If you use too low of a pitch you're just wasting power.

I agree,
I use a 12/15 3mm set back concord on my 650 that is warmed over with a pipe (I got it this way and have no clue what lies on the inside).
The prop does slip a lot on the bottom and it might be time to re-pitch.
Or, I might just try a swirl.
What's a good pitch to start ?

I like blowsion just because, anyways on their site you can choose a lil about their impellers. I def want Skat, but what is is their low end prop? skat swirl cutback 3mm, whats the pitch? Is it easier to just call dave at impros or will i be happy with blowsions choices?

I was just wonder this weekend if there was any feed back on these. I changed from a skat 9/17 the was way too low for my setup to a concord 13.5 /17.5 ( i think it is have to look again) and it still slips. I ran a skat swirl on a diff ski and i liked the way it hit right away.

John,
That is not a concord prop. Its an X prop.

well i cant tell which way to go. ive got an ada 185 psi girdled setup, riva freeride drypipe, and riva air cleaners. thats all motor wise. im going to get my nozzle bored to 85mm. im pretty much stopping there for now, but i dont know which prop to go with. paul @ jr.'s says to go with either brand. he said 13/16 or 13/17 with my setup. i just want to make sure before dropping $275+ cuz i only get one shot. (my budget be pretty tight) any ideas?

Wow, pretty crazy how the tune just switched. My 10/18 scat feels pretty good in my SJ.. Doesnt seem to slip much at all. I could use some more bottom end in my boat. I blame it on stock cylinder with dual 44's. I may be a little rich on low end.

I have a new from last year Concord 13-17 in my Blaster, I will do some testing myself, probably on the big bore I am putting together.

I will buy and try a skat swirl.

My 12/15 concord works great, and was a massive improvement from the supercamber watever that was in it.

the same 12/15 worked well on my other boat when I swapped pumps also ( it has a 701)

I guess I just have to try a skat to feel the 'slip' for the concord.
it hooks good to me? well, it didnt hook so well with the 87mm protec nozzle.

I ran a skat swirl on a 750sx, and it was for sure a good impeller for that boat.

Once again, let some simple typed thoughts on this BBS set and change the prices on the used market. haha

My buddy has been doing a lot of bussiness with wammer.... He recommends the skat trak swirls too.... i think 12-17... not postive... of course they are running stronget motors then most of us!

fx69boy runs a 12/17 skat swirl noncutback from blowsion in his fx1- this is actually the boat matte's new impeller came out of- it hits like a truck and hauls major a$$, but this is in a lighter weight ski and it has a way bigger pump intake than a superjet after our pump shoe and intake grate conversion- sucks to say it but we have wasted a lot of $ on impellers experimenting to find correct one- when you talk to different people and prop dealers they all have different opinions and suggestions:rolleyes: when in doubt just throw more money at it:banghead: :banghead:
