how does it works ,when the nose goes down you release the lever, any spead gain

It's just down trim. You gain speed by not having to slow as much into and through the corner and staying hooked up on the holeshot.

Your top speed wont be faster, but more control will make your lap times shorter.

It's only used off the start. 81/84 will work fine with your motor. If you race and want to start without porpoising, it is a must have. Plus, longer nozzle quickens the steering a little.

you dont use them in the turns...... Like SM said, starts only. Some racers use to play with trim tabs. Jeff Jacobs use to have a drop nozzle setup and a drop trim tab setup. Nozzle for the start and the trim tabs for turns. More of a brake than anything else.

The problem with the SXR is that the a$$ end gets light in the turns. That's why most put on tubbies in the front, to help keep the nose up, while forcing the rear in the water. If you use trim in the turns, it actually does the opposite - forces the nose down while lifting the rear. A SXR will slide in the turns if the rear rises. A lot of this can be helped with holes in the plates, different intake, shoes, etc. But, I don't really know any racers who use trim during the races.

Pulling a drop nozzle is enough of a pain in the ace on a start, you'd have to be the hulk to pull it during a full race! :) Except for hydraulic trim like the hydro's....I liked it a lot!!
