300/440/550 skat 9/17 impeller question...for X2!

Need to know if the skat 9/17 impellers for a 650 pump and 750 pump are the same??

Also am I on the right track wanting a 9/17 for my setup...

stock 650 silver engine
stock reeds
stock head
westcoast pipe
westcoast intake with sbn44
stock FA

Also what is the std bore of the X2 reduction nozzle and how much can you open it up to??

Will the skat 9/17 work well with my engine setup as well as a bored exit nozzle and wetwolf cone. If not what would you guys recommend?

Also how much of a difference do aftermarket reeds and stufers make?? Worthwhile??

Thanks for the help guys!

Not the same, you can have a 750 swirl made to fit the 650, I run the 12/17. Take the nozzle to 85mm, but ditch the stocker. 9/17 will act like a straight 16, but be snappier on the bottom. Cone will also help, but you still need to play with all the variables until you get it where you like it. Thats basically my same setup, great hookup and about stock top speed. Upgrading to the 750 small pin over the winter with Pete's B pipe setup, might have to add some more pitch to the prop or remove the short pump cone.

would I be better off with a skat 9/17, 15, 15.5, or 16??? Keep in mind I am trying to keep costs down so a custom swirl is a no go. And what would be the best one to go with matched with a bored nozzle to 85mm??

stock X2 reduction nozzle is plastic... Swap one from a 750sx if you're going to bore it out.

I'm running a 9/17 skat on my X2 (head, pipe, carb, etc) and it will pull your arms out. Top speed on mine is around 40mph, so it ain't too quick.... but man it pulls.

The pump has been cleaned up (blueprinted), but I don't have a cone, have the stock plastic nozzle, etc.

750 small pin set up with a modified 13/18 from a 750. Works pump and wet wolf cone. I tried the 9/17 and it felt like I was running my engine WOT all the time so i went to a 14/19. Lost too much pull on the bottom but great top end. Finally settled on the 13/18
