APBA's annual meeting was held and superjets will be allowed all current stock class mods, but also allowed to run b pipes and hull extensions for stock class.

Now, for all of you who wanted this I'd hope to see you at some more races!

I doubt anyone will care unless you start winning everything.

If you go, I'm willing to bet they let you race with them.

all you have to do is make a plug if the Tech Inspector says anything...... actually, you would want to do that anyhow, footholds mess up your balance, when racing I press my feet against the sides, with the footholds there I dont have that area to wedge against, really messed me up.....

ok well you may be actually able to keep with an sxr with a b-pipe tubbies and hull extensions
if you could find a b-pipe

but think about this a 760 superjet
decent ignition and a b-pipe
you will get a compression rise due to the big bore
sound like a good setup

I have a crazy Idia- you should be able to put any inclass motor in any inclass boat---- kawi engine in a superjet and etc- 785seadoo in the blaster- it makes racing lean more toward the hull and the racer and gives a more level playing field. It will never happen its just a thought. Or have seperate classes for every boat- too much hassel. That why in my opinion Freestyle has gotten so big- its just havin fun doin crazy ******** on a ski!! Its more the rider rather than how much you got under the hood.

and you mean free ride right.... racing and freestyle has died off because of the bull******** rules you have to follow..... that is the beauty of free ride.... there is only one rule.... have fun.

back in the day when there was actual sponsorship in the sport there was a good mix of competition..... nowadays its who ever has the deepest pockets wins...... look at the kids in the juniors ski class with a hydrospace.... they one because they were on something that had 6-8 mph more top end than anything else in the field.... why? because mommy and daddy bought it for them

you think they would have one on an sxr or superjet.... probably not

how does that make the playing field level.... if anything it promotes the idea of he who has the deepest pockets wins.......

a level playing field would be a spec class boat similar to solo or nasa autocross racing the cars are limited to spec parts for each class.... that narrows it down to jsut the driver

if you go swap any motor in any hull everyone would be running out and putting an RXP motor in a GPR hull

and if the 785 in a blaster was such a great idea why didn't you do it instead of putting in a 65u motor in the blaster which when all said and done only makes maybe 20 more hp than a 785 motor and weighs more

Freestyle is freeride and freeride is freestyle. If someone say I like Freestyle Motor Cross...does that mean competetion only. No.

You get the point...no need to be elite.

Freestyle(comps) is coming back a little at a time. Every year we get new riders and those rider ride for fun, but get better and want to compete.

i think the difference jesse means, and what dan MEANT was the difference between freestyle and competitive freestyle.

I say make stock class stock, with handling mods such as grates, ride plates, sponsons, and handlepoles/steering, nothing else. MAYBE a prop. those mods only help the rider make thebest of his ski, and its still really cheap to be competitive.

even still you are looking at 2 grand into a stocker...... it should be showroom stock with the only mods being those that make the boat safer for the rider and others on the course

It doesn't say you are alowed a B-pipe it says a wet pipe. there are several wet pipes on the market and several dry pipes that could be made to run wet. So lets go knock some dust off those superjets and get em on the line.

stand ups no but runabouts yes..... figure in around 400 for umi, intake grate and ride plate is another 400, prop 225, sponsons 200, seat cover 160, flame arrestors, jet kit and cdi will run you around 500

even if you take out the umi set-up you are still at 1600 for a competitive stock class boat
