I was riding on memorial day and had to flip to reserve because the ski died. it cranked up and ran good for a couple minutes the started to kind of sputter. i put it on the trailer and blew the water out before i left the ramp. i went to go out yesterday and it would not start. it has spark and when i prime it it just turns over.

any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

i said in my post that it has spark and i can prime it (gas straight in carb bypassing fuel pump) and it will not start. thanks for the reply though.

i put new ones in and it would not start? you can smell the gas and i check the spark, it looked strong. cold the stator plate have moved and it is out of time now? i used loc tite on the screws.

I'm thinking that it might be flooded, I'd say that the timing should be the same as when you cleared the water out of the ski (nothing should have changed)
Pull the plugs, and crank it over for a few seconds, then let it sit for a bit. Make sure the plugs are dry, reinstall, try and crank it over- hopefully she'll fire, if it doesn't give it 2 pumps from the primer- if it doesn't try to fire. It's time to look for something else.

I know you said it has spark, maybe it is weak or erratic because the CDI is not firing properly. Try disconnecting the plug with the black & white wires to defeat the stop switch to determine if it is causing trouble. Just crank down the idle to kill it if it starts or choke the carb.:banghead: :banghead:
