SJ Pump and shim question?

Has anyone ever had to shim the front of the pump? the drive shaft on my blaster is high in the hole. Also I replaced the wear ring and the impeller is still hitting. Any ideas? There isnt allot play in the bearings so I am at a loss.

you might be able to shave some off the rear tabs on the pump. I have never heard of shimming the front.

My '98 RN was the same way. I just ran it.

pump shims

double check the liner ring install ,and the nozzle
and check the shaft alingment with a dial gauge
check the the body surface for wear
no shims in front ,due to the dowel pins ,if you have not got them ,the surface will wear because of the pump vibration and movment
