what is the length, height, and thickness?

either the atp or riva 62t single intake manifold.

i need the width of the manifold where it bolts to the engine.
i need the height from the bottom where it mounts at the engine to the top of where the carb mounts.
i need the measurement from where it mounts to the engine to the outside towards the hull.

if any one has these please post them.

thanks,
wayne

Why don't you just get a Kawi manifold off eBay and make the adapter plate (what Riva did)? No need to reinvent the intake portion.

i understand that i can do that. i just want to make something in my spare time. i can use a single intake manifold, and as i stated above. if it don't work then i will go another route.

I think what they are suggesting is to not bite off more than you can chew. Try making an adaptor plate and then try making the manifold after some practice. If you've never done anything like that before, your starting with a project that would be very difficult and would effect your learning curve. That is all.

If you do decide to make the manifold, take a look at the ATP manifold, they made it in three pieces (top half or runners, bottom half of runners, and flange) and then welded it together. I'm no expert on machining, but I think that trying to cut the runners out of one big chunk will be quite a task.

i know, but i have done some stuff. just not that complicated. i will have plenty time to do it and don't mind detailed projects. just looking at creating some thing myself that would be usefull to me. i have a micrometer so i can measure precise and make it as close to an aftermarket as possible. even if it takes a few months working on it a little each night i don't mind. it keeps me from falling asleep early or watching too much tv.

when i was in high school i converted a small gocart frame to hold a 125 yamaha dirt bike engine. i had to extend the frame, make motor mounts and braces for the engine to mount. had to make brackets to mount it to a lawnmower rearend and a tank mount because i used the tank from the motorcycle. i also had to retro a shifter which i also mounted the motorcycle throttle to it and hooked the cluch to the brake pedel, just did not have breaks. but down shifting would slow you down. that thing was stupid fast and at high speeds would not turn it would just push the front wheels. the only way to turn was to be goin less than 10 mph.

it will be time consuming and tidious, but with a dremmel and patience it is possible. i will drill the most of it out it a drill the start shaping with a dremmel. that is what winter is for, finding something to do to keep us sane. only thing that would make it better would be a drill press.

not cut it all with a dremmel. most will be drilled off/out with a metal bit. only the final shaping and finishing will be with the dremmel. like i said i will use a micrometer to get it as close to complete before using the time consuming dremmel. i am not that dense and if it takes too long to drill out the inside i will take it to a shop and have them take most of the meat out with a big bit and press.
