I finally got tired of having to tow one ski and chunk the other in the back of the truck, so I converted the single bandit trailer I bought a few months ago to a double.
First I took off all of the unnecessary stuff...

Then I picked up some vertical bunk mounts and made some new bunks. Since the trailer gets narrower in the front, it is not wide enough to mount the bracket where it needs to be, so I flipped it horizontally and had it welded that way. Seemed easier than adding a steel bar to rise it & give it more room.

Then I took some 3x2" steel and made a brace for the front. I used Stoltz PWC bow mounts which I think are the coolest thing since sliced bread. My only wish is that it had a metal backing of some sort so it could be welded on. I think the u bolts looked sloppy in the end. Oh well..

After welding and trimming,

Then I painted it. Just a quick job to prevent rust and make it look better. I have new wheels coming for it next week...these tires are rotted anyway. I got some 12" coming, hopefully it rides/looks better.

Everything mounted. I got these neat rubber rectangular caps from McMaster Carr to plug the holes in the front brace.
