hmm, you'd think youd get more than a foot of air on those ball busters....

:haha:

you know you want to touch them.

Pfffft....windbag.........okay, I give you 2 dolla
:skull2:

Maybe one day I'll scrape enough money together for an ATP single manifold and a 49 FS. That'd be my dream setup.

110hp? that sounds like a lot, how about a 46 or 48? 115hp and 120hp?

I typed it wrong, one body mounted fuel pump, so it doesn't matter what carb if you're talking a limit. However, there is always a limit somewhere, either the cylinder won't flow enough to him the carb's limit or the carb can't flow enough air or fuel, whatever it ends up being. Almost always it's the cylinder that is the limiting factor.

The intake period overlaps between the two cylinders, so one carb is actually feeding both cylinders for a time.

My dual 44's give me better fuel economy than Phill's single 44. I found that interesting. But the intake overlap explains that a bit.

how would it overlap in a 2 cylinder engine? especially when the intake and exhaust ports are not at the extreme bottom or top of the cylinder stroke?

I just dug this up.....I'll post some personal updates

I've been running a 760 Frankenstein for a while now. X cases, T cylinder, single 48 Powerbomb.

I can run WOT all day long without probs.

I am about to try the same 48 Powerbomb on my other motor with ported T cases and ported 717 X cylinder. Manifold is a BCW single.
I am anxious to see how this goes.

I'll be replacing the 48 Riva for a 48 Full Spectrum on the Frankenstein. Anyone's got jetting suggestions? :dunno:

i went with the single Full Spec on my Kawi 750 which has been built by Team scream and taken out to 780. I have not run it yet but will let you know. I was told WOT runs are not a problem.

Thanks! I'm heading down to tune right now.

I'll give the 48FS a try @ 22PSI popoff, 125 pilot, 135 main.

Man, I needed to order jets from Blowsion - so before I did, I dug through my stuff to see what I already got.
Turns out I got all sizes pilots from 105-147.5 and mains from 100-150. :haha:

157.5 HS 127.5 LS 2.3NS 115g spring HS screw is 7/8 out, LS Screw 1 1/8th out. I have my return drilled out and have a 70main jet as a restictor flowing back to the gas tank

Damn....yesterday's tuning was very unproductive. I started out at 125P/135M, that ran like crap. It's so bad it's hard to say whether it's lean or rich.
I tried 120P/135M, then 130P/135M, then 115P, 135M, and finally 122.5P/130M.

I am starting to thing I am way too lean on top and some on the pilot.
Project Ski, what carb are you runnin? 48 or 49 FS?

I've been trying since yesterday morning, both phone and email. No one answers.

Looking at some other setups, I think my main is way too lean.
