Yeah, should be a cake walk right? I have never tuned a single carb boat. Here is the set up.
Ported Cylender 61X
Ported cases 61X
Cofmans pipe
modded cdi
I-prop
single 46mm wetjet carb 2.5 n/s I think a 95g spring 125 pilot, 150 main
wetjet intake mnfld

Is this a good place to start? :dunno:

Thanks for your input

Hey Brian. I assume this is a single carb setup on a 62T? It looks like a good starting point but all I have ever tuned was 61X motors w/ 44's.
The ski I just bought I will be doing the same mod so let me know what you come up with.

you sound way too rich!! try 2.0 with 115 gm (about 32 psi) maim 135 low 125. 1 turn on each (l&H) that's the setting I use on my 48mm carbs and there right on the money everytime, even with a 62t big bore lamey:biggthumpup:

Use that 1.8 N/S you bought with the 95, 80, or 65 gram spring and get that pop off to about 30 or 32 like waterfreak said. I prolly have 80 and 65 gram springs if you need one.

I test rode the other day and found that it seams lean. It hesitates then hits hard from idle and from mid range and it got a little better as I came out on pilot screw to 2.25 turns, but then quit getting better. I was thinking I needed to go up on pilot???? Adjusting main seemed to do nothing.
This is w/ the set up in my original post. It seems like I need to go bigger on pilot but all suggestions above were for smaller jets and higher pop off.

I have the same cylinder and cases with a Coffman sizzler pipe. I ported the cylinder with the Race Logic templates. I have a single 44 on a stock intake. I ended up with 145 Main, 120 Pilot, 95g spring, 2.0 N/S from some recommendations on here. Started with the screws at 1 turn out each and tuned from there. I think I ended up around 1.5 turns out each. I'm still breaking the motor in so I haven't had any long WOT runs on it yet. It seems to run good.
