Single carb efficient till how big????????????

Halo everybody, hope all ur petrol garages are dropping there fuel prices....

How efficient will a single carb 48 riva powerbomb be on a freestyle/freeride ski sj 760cc I hav got dual 48 riva pb but I hate tuning carbs at the various altitudes I ride every month.:banghead::banghead: Thank you.

Those values are for bone-stock Mikuni carbs.

Mine is an 860, but I would feel confident running a single on a 900+cc motor as well for the way we all ride.

I tried duals on that motor, but only saw a marginal difference in performance, if any, so I went back to the single and am happy. Then again, I'm kind of a wannabe rider that just likes, experimenting with non-mainstream ideas, making power, and having fun.

I've ran a single Powerbomb, and a single 48 FUll spec, older design, on the same ported 760 motor.
The Full Spec has the Powerbomb beat, IMHO - but not by a bunch.

I have a std stroke NPV 85mm FT DASA cyl on a single 48 Full Spec (customer owned) That runs very well with the single. I would say it actually rivaled the duel carb motors!!!

I personally, have not run single carb motors over 850cc. I saw no reason to try to go in that direction, The duel carbs will definately win the HP battle on bigger displacement powerplants...........

Thank you for the answer Jr.!! Im from South Africa and I went down to the cape movin house and 5m swells was there for a week, IT WAS REALLY SCARY il post pics when I get the chance but freestyle vs freeride over here freeride wins coz we really dont hav guys even wanting 2 build strokers here ;<
