Sick Chicken,,, Please Help!

Looking for some 650 help. I just got a 93 SuperChicken and it runs real strong until 15-20 minutes in and begins to misfire, progressively getting worse until it will no longer plane out. Mag plug is black and wet, pto plug is tan and dry. If I change the plug it will get slightly better then back to almost running one one cylinder. If ski sits and cools off it will run strong again and then start to fade again. New to this ChickenSh*t and wondering if any of you have experienced this. Assuming the 650 SX is the same components and likely could chime in also. Looks as though the coils and CDI are a single unit. Is one leg of the coil/cdi fading when heat soaking? Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tugged on the internal plug wire to make sure it isn’t broken at the end? You could also swap the wires to opposite cylinders to see if it does it the same thing or not. That would rule out electrical. I would look at reeds or air leak next.

ive seen similar behavoiur on a superjet.
Was a bad stator coil, lightning coil. expanding when it got warm and had a small crack, making it run bad. Cooling down it contracts and ran normal.

Figured it out, there was a section of ignition wire that was burnt out inside the wire. As I tugged on it it stretched the jacket about half way up the wire. It was good at both ends but middle was bad. As it got hot spark must not have been able to jump the gap. Runs good now
