Sick and tired of getting water in my motor!

Your not getting enough air. It is not so much water intrusion as it is you are sucking the air out of the engine bay. My first Wammer Hood did this, you go underwater, the ski would bogg and or die. Pull plugs, it would be super rich. Swapped hoods and the problem went away. Contacted Wammer, he said send it back and I will make you a good deal on a new 8 hole hood, this was a used old style hood that I had bought from him. He also said I was running to large intake setup and it was sucking the air out, well, I was running a 701 with a single carb conversion. His hood just would not flow enough.

Swap hoods and try it.

^^ I'd take care of the coupler cover first. I am betting that's the problem.
Anyone who's ever tried running without one will agree that it's terrible for motor performance.

That is a given, was not going to mention the obvious. But if his motor is choking out as soon as he goes underwater and he did not have any water in the hull then there is no water to get sprayed up into the carbs.

its not a lack of air. When you take my filters off there is always milky white :):):):) in the velocity stacks, Also I bloked off one of the breather tubes that looks like it my be directing water to the rear carb. Ill get a coupler cover on ASAP. Thanks guys!

Has anybody ever had an OEM hood seal leak when brand new? I can hear the water come in when the engine isn't running and I lean the ski over. Is the seal backwards or something dumb like that? lol

What should be the proper length of the tubes and what size are you running? Has anyone else had their tubes rub into the front cover and actually wear divits into the thing? I have the waterdawg tubes which are stout and are wearing into my cover.

two year old thread but problem is finaly fixed 100% one of the breather tubes was too short and curved (I have 3 2" diameter hoses) and pointing at the carb. the coupler cover helped sometimes but not always. Louie here in STL did an entire cleanup of my ski this winter and actualy hut a piece of stainless wire on one of the flywheel cove blots so when I put the hood on I slide that tube over it.... HA finaly fixed!

I had issues with the "milky white :):):):)" on my motor after ingesting water. I was running generic TCW3 and so were my friends. We were all having hardcore problems with ingestion. One friend switched to MercQuicksilver. His problems resolved. I switched, and mine resolved too.

So I did a test. I put equal amounts of generic walmart oil and Quicksilver in 2 cups. I then added water to both of them. I shook firmly. The quicksilver immediately beaded into the water like cooking oil would. The Generic oil mixed into the oil and turned into a frothy white mess. Long after the quicksilver had settled seperate, the generic was still a frothy mess.

It doesn't matter if you choose quicksilver. What matters is you are not using some :):):):) oil like i was before. Test your oil. If it doesn't separate, use it up and never buy it again.
