alright here is the deal so far. he will meet me about 6 hours from where I live for the full price of $3,300 and a $100 deposit. I just asked him if I met him at his place if he would take $3000.

If he agrees on $3000 picked up from his door from you, I'd shoot this at him.

Why not pay him $3150 and spend the extra $150 on Roadway to ship the ski for you..?

He gets an extra $150 for crating it up, you save yourself 6 hours each way driving. The ski will be there in 2-3 days, no hassle.
Sounds good to me...

Is 12 hours in a car worth $150 to you? To me its not.

well the good thing is I get 40 mpg on the highway and I wouldn't mind seeing it in person. if its shipped roadway I can't walk away from it. does roadway pick up from your house?

They will PKU from your residence, but you'll require driver assist and a tailgate, maybe a surcharge for residential PKU dpending if they can get their truck into the neighborhood. It will be too much once you get all those "special services" as they call it.
Better if buddy dropped it at their terminal and had them unload it from the back of his pickup or something.

If you want to see it in person than go and check it out. The brutal part about that is the seller knows you came a long way. He's in the drivers seat.

You're not likley to walk away over a couple hundred bucks. If its what you want and he stays firm @ $3300 you either don't do the deal and blow a few bucks and a lot of time checking something out.

If he agrees to a price before hand and the goods are as described, and he did this to you well than he's just a dirtbag.

Come by the house on the way and take a look you might save yourself a days drive. LOL I hope you know that I am just razzing. But I am only 1:45 from StLouis Arch. So if your really board and your making it a couple days trip I would be happy to meet you for a drink or something since your heading kinda through this area. IF I don't have to work which I do quite often

I offered him 3 and he took it, looks like I am getting a superjet. I just have to pick it up from his house. I will most likely go up there on the 24th 25th to get it.

I don't that we will have time to come through that way but I will see you this summer. are you going to go to the lake of the ozarks ride?

I won't be at the Ozarks in april. There is no way that I am getting in the water that early.. I am a :purr: when it comes to cold water. IF I can talk them (the StLouis crew) into a july 4th ride or somewhere near there then I will be all over that. All your ski needes to do at the ozarks is idle right... for party cove.... :biggthumpup:
