Plate worked great. You can really lean over and carve a sharp turn with this sucker, also felt like I rotated further . . . ?

Bars are bent but not broken - no, that's not the new one.

I looked at flipping my UMI bars around, but you would have to move the steering nipple. Wouldn't be a problem if you made a whole plate, but there's no place to put it on a stock plate with UMI bars flipped around.

I got my bars at metalsupermarkets.com. There's one close to me, so I just went in and told them what I needed. I didn't get 6061, because they didn't have any at the time.

What about modifying the steering nipple to be on the bottom of the plate, or use a taller set of bar clamps(mx perhaps) that would raise the bars up to be higher than the pivot bolt/ steering nipple? The chin pad may need to be modified, but you could get the bars down in front of the pivot bolt :thinkerg:
