shortening superjet -3

I'm ready to shorten my superjet -3 at an angle cut. I've read a few posts of people doing this, but wanted to know whats the best way to add a threaded hole where the ride plate bolt goes. Also if anyone has few tips before I start cutting the back end I would like to hear them, even though it seems pretty straight forward. I will be doing all the glass work from inside of the ski.

No need for the bolt holes. Use the 4 holes you have left after cutting.

With the angle cut you'll need to relocate the inserts...or you can section out the 3 inches between the inserts and regalss the rear pieces forward which will Retain the insert locations like what looks like what's shown in the pic. One way probably it's any harder than the other, just different ways to accomplish the task.

You can reuse the oem inserts just clean them of all the green goo and than epoxy them back in place with a cabosil/micro balloon peanut butter consistency mixture

Check out my old -2" build. It was still one of my favorite skis ever for surf. Should show how i did my inserts with a square cut. Angle is fine also
