Shortening Rickter footholds...

I love the way they feel but they sit a little too far back in the tray. If the billet bracket is all the way forward you cant connect the footholds as they hit the hull. So i was wondering has anyone trimmed the front of the footholds so they can be mounted as far forward on the bracket without hitting the hull?

put the brackets on the opposite sides (left bracket on right of the ski, vice versa) and they will sit a lot further forward.
