The Shiver on the River event on October 23rd and 24th in Richland, WA - the result of a few Northwest riders sticking their heads together, wanting an end-of-the-season get together.
There will be a few racing classes, flatwater freestyle, and a v-wake session for sickest trick.
Main sponsors are Sundown Marine (wakeboard boat) and Northwest Freeride.
I've been talked into putting my motor/driveline into a Squarenose hull so that I can hit the v-wake. (since I am currently without ski).
Should be a fun event that may lead to future events, perhaps on an annual basis. The city was very forthcoming and excited about this. Location is Howard Amon Park in Richland, WA.

It was an awesome event yesterday!
The weather ended up being great. We had a very nice turnout considering it's almost November and we're in Washington State. We counted 35 skis on the beach.
We ran multiple classes (beginner, intermediate, pro, legends, runabout, sport, endurance) and a flatwater freestyle event plus big air contest via v-wake.

I raced a Blaster in the sport class twice and won both times. Yay! I liked it, may have to get a racing blaster in the future.
I pulled of a crowd-entertaining start in the first moto by heading for the completely wrong buoy. I'm sure Barry will post video of it.
Even though I signed up to compete in Freestyle, my hastily thrown together ski didn't get off the ground. Quite the embarrassing performance. :lmao:

A HUGE thanks to our event Sponsors Blowsion, Split Ink, Watcon, Jetworks, X-Scream.
