shims

i was wondering if motor mount shims are all the same thickness or are they different from boat to boat. if they are the same, how thick are they? i need to align my engine, but i dont have shims (piecing together a superjet) any info on this would be a huge help. thanks

There are standard shim thicknesses (i.e., 0.020, 0.030, 0.040, etc). The type and amount used will vary from boat to boat.

Go to any machine shop, or pump shop, electric motor shop, and buy shim stock.
Cheap.

right on thanks. i actually work at a machine shop and do you think i can find anything?? haha nope! well i will go down to the elect. motor shop and pick some up. thanks agian
