Super Jet Sheared starter bolt

When I was tearing down my engine, one of the starter bolts sheared off just about flush and I don't see any way to drill it or get an extractor because its so close to the exterior of the case. Is my only option new cases or is there another way to get the bolt out?

take it to your local machine shop if your afraid to try and drill it. btw drill very slow, you do now want to break a drill bit or extractor in it. been there done that....

some guys just drill it out ruin the threads and put a bolt with nut instead....

I welded a smaller bolt to mine, then got it out with that. It was a biotch. Machine shop prolly would have been easier lol!

If you weld a washer (with a hole smaller than the bolt) on it first, then weld a bolt to the washer its a lot easier.

Same thing happened to my roommate. Local machine shop had it out in a few minutes and didn't charge him.
