Shaved head question

I am thinking about getting the head on my 750 shaved. Like everyone else I'd like to stay on pump gas. I was just curious if anyone has experience shaving a 750 head and if so how much was taken off and what that amount correlated to compression wise!

Thanks!

I went with an ada head. Milling a head down can create issues with your squish band and dome angles. milling is cheaper but something with interchangable domes are a better investment. If you do go the mill route, be sure to select a reputible person to do the work. There can be more to it can just shaving down the flat surface.

Milling a stock head only creates issues if the person doing the work is a MORON and doesn't know what they are doing. Obviously if you mill down past the undercut in the domes, you will need to reshape the domes and fix the squish band. If the person doing the work doesn't understand this, you are at the wrong shop. Chris Newmiller does EXCELLENT work and knows what he is doing.

Also, there are plenty of reasons NOT to go with an ADA or other o-ring type head with removable domes.
