I used the black dye tonight, it doesn't take that much at all, when mixing a 5 pump batch you probably only need about the size of a pea or 2. (same with the white) BTW, last year I did 1 layer 17oz on my X2, this year I'm doing 1 of 12 oz, and 1 8.5oz twill over that on the SJ. Will have a picture up tommorow on my build thread. 2 layers 17oz under the pole bracket, and 1 17oz piece in the nose.

No, I just ground them rounder at the end of the ski. They were really digging into my leg, above my ankle. So i just rounded them off and glassed back over them!

I noticed my nose is already cracked, so I am doing three layers up there. I also used some of the choped stuff and added it to my resin and put it around the nose crack last night.

For the rest of the hull. I plan on doing:
one sheet on the bulkhead
three (various sizes) on the sides
one small strip around where the hood meets the hull (spider cracks already there)
three varying size sheets in the nose
probably three sheets under the hand pole bracket. It has some small cracks already.

I am also filling in the bond line and under the hand pole bracket with foam.

Today, I filled in the bond line with foam and ground it down with a wire wheel. What a mess. I NEVER want to do that again. I also layed two layers of glass under the handpole bracket, in the nose, and under where the hood sits. I am liking the blue dye! Should turn out sweet!! Tomorrow I will get one of the sides done and the bulk head!

Well I finished the reinforcing today! Looks awesome IMO! I ended up putting 3 pieces on the sides, one on the firewall, 3 under the hand pole bracket, 4 in the nose since it was already cracked, and one on the bottum. I am sure I added a few pounds but I should be good to go on my ski holding up for a while!

Now I am just waiting for my nose piece to come and then get that and my hood sanded and I am ready for paint. Probably won't paint until middle of january.

I also should be getting the rest of my motor back next week. So I will be putting that together also!

Awsome, I ended up doing everywhere also, didn't like the small cracks in the bottom around the motor mounts. Is that 1208 biax everywhere?

looks reallll nice and smootthhhh

good job getting it level
my sides dont looks the same
one is better than the other lol
turned out pretty good for ya then ehh??

Yeah, It turned out great!! My sides aren't exactly the same either. As much as I tried, the foam just wasn't cooperating! But I still think it turned out pretty good for my fist time!

I recieved my case, borred nozzle, and ADA head in the mail today!! Paul did an amazing job! I HIGHLY recommend him!!

I was able to put most of the motor back together. I need a few gaskets and jets for the carbs and then I will be done and post some pics!!

I am going to work on the dual cooling tomorrow! I need to drill and tap my pump and exhaust manifold.

I have also ordered all of my paint and that should be coming in by friday!! Hope to be painting next weekend!!

Well I haven't posted in a while, but have made a ton of progress. I have my motor completely back together. I also have been painting. All I have left to do is clear coat, which is going on tomorrow. The paint turned out pretty good. There where a couple spots that gave me some trouble, but for the most part it went smoothly.

After this, there is not much left. Just to reassemble and turf! Soon the 2 feet of ice will be off the lakes, and I can try it out! I should have the project completed some time next week!!

I also just recieved my order from blowsion (White odi grips, orange locks, kenney keepers, tau ceti's with covers, and my turf). I am going to be putting white turf in the tray, on the rails, and the hand pole pad. I also have to install my FFH.

Does anyone have any good pictures of where to put my Fire Extinguisher now that I have a lowered hood? I was thinking about attaching it to the bulkhead, behind my pipe. The weight could kind of counter-balance the battery. At least that is what my plan is now. Any pics or comments of what others have done would be greatly appreciated.
