I hate to be wrong, but most don't have em and I didn't think it would be an issue... Hell, I don't even run numbers on my boat...

How in the hell do you get by without reg numbers on your boat?

do you have insurance?

the numbers seem miniscule in the grand scheme of things, compared to insurance.

no insurance, no numbers on my boat.
you have insurance???

I don't ride in navigatable waterways 99% of the time... no water cops, just beach patrol and I am tight w/ them... they could care less what's in or on my boat... as long as I am safe

wow, things are sure different there.

I get bombarded, and chased, and followed, and cut off routinely by $40k+ boats all the time.

IM glad we have mandatory insurance around here.

I can see how you wouldnt need it though, if its a desolate beach.

I try hard to give the 5-0 NO reasons to pull me over though, I dont want the hassle, or the scrutiny.

Same here in TN you always have some hot shot Wildlife Agency officer bustin your balls about every little thing they can think of. This is mostly driven by the fishermen who stereotype all jet skiers into one group of undesirable nefarious characters. We instantly kill all the fish the minute we hit the water you know. You can tell by the looks you get when they see you at the ramp unloading. Only a few will speak and be civil, most just look at you with that look "There's another one of them dam jet skiers" Its not as bad as it used to be but I still get it. I always make it a point to speak to them and be nice.
