Seems as good as any place to start

Hi all.

Newish to this forum. Seems plenty of good info over here.

Posted in FX-1 first because
1) Couldn't find the welcome page
2) Just bought one :)
Got it at the beginning of winter. Had it out just once for about 30 minutes and, even stock, its pretty cool. Makes the old 440 feel like a kids toy.

Read with interest the 144 pump swap methods and rev limiter modify options. Will no doubt be around for a bit and check them out further.
Is there any other NZer's on here who has done this or looked into doing the pump swap on FX-1.

I did it once, never liked that ski after, it handled different and no amount of pump trim adjustment would bring it back. A good new prop in a stock pump works well in my opinion. Save money for your new Rickter, you're gonna need it!

I'm going to give it a season riding before deciding. So far, and I am a complete newbie to standups, it really is an amazing ski. Guessing will want more power eventually though.
Surprized the pump / impeller is basically the same size as the 440.

Question...
I have a 650sx pipe, West Coast manifold and U shaped bit. I have heard that an adaptor plate is available to fit between 701 and Kawi manifold.

A) Where can I get the adaptor
B) Will this fit in the FX-1

Looking at the cheater pipe option as B pipes are prohibitively expensive in NZ
