Second pulse location

does it matter where the second pulse fitting goes? I was thinking the flat part where the hin numbers are on the motor but that's much higher on the reed than the stock pulse fitting. Is it okay to be this far up on the reed? I've heard people go through the side but I thought the top would be cleaner since it could match the stock location. You can see the stock pulse location in the background of the picture.

Notes:
I can't use reed spacers because the intake hits the hull (x2)
The gap on the manifold is because I haven't put the studs all the way back in yet. (I ran this setup with reed spacers in another hull but it won't fit in a stock x2)

I yanked a pulse fitting out of another case. I can't find the extended studs that come with the reed spacers so I guess I'll just use bolts.

Well I run a stock pulse line from the crank case under the intake, and my second pulse line from a reed spacer, so very different locations, and never any issues. Ideally, they'd be in the same place with same length of pulse line tubing, but it's not such a big deal.

I guess you make a point there. It worked good in the reed spacer, so i guess it will work fine anywhere.
