Seadoo spline tool

I bought one of the spline tools for jetskimechinec on ebay service and shipping where great please don't confuse this post as a bad remark. I have emailed Robert to ask and am awaiting his reply.
I used this tool for one engine and notice a few splines chiped , started on the next engine the other day and the rest of the splines striped off . I have never had a tool break apart so badly so quickly before , aren't these things supposed to be hardend steel? has anyone else had this problem with this type of tool before?

Is it possible the splines in the prop were bad to begin with? If the tool was only grabbing in a few spots I can see the spines giving way.

are you using air tools or doing it by hand......I have had some of them snap in half because people just grab the impact gun and try to remove the PTO with it.....

The ones from SD are much harder material than the aftermarket ones, but then again SD wants $100 fom the thing

just an update I got a mail back form Robert and am going to send it back in so he can send it off to manifacter and see what they say.
I'll probally end up haveing to buy a new one but want to see what happens first
