I was wondering who all runs a oneway straight out the back and a scuppler at the very end.

The idea is the scupper "may leak" and the oneway will block the leaking scupper... however running just a oneway people blow them out from to much pressure when landing big on a tail entry. and the scupper's flap will "protect" the oneway from blowing out be preventing the rushing water thats would be normally on its way to the oneway..

Concept seems legit, how many ppl do this? looking for reviews

It should work fine - I was thinking about doing the same to mine, but just for aesthetic reasons. If you mount the one way forwards it protects it from getting blown out on hard landings. Mine's about half way up the gunwale.

I installed a one way in a friend’s boat and made sure I left enough room to install a 24/7 just incase. So yes its a great idea!

I wouldnt bother getting a scupper until a oneway fails, then install. Just install it so adding a scupper is an option later on.

Scuppers/One ways work by the water pushing against them to create a seal. If there is little contact, then they wont seal very well and will leak a little. So if your scupper is leaking a little, theres a good chance it will go by your one way as well.

I have a Lowes one way valve and a 24/7 scupper in-line.

I have witnesses that will confirm that my setup doesn't leak at all even after being tied off to a dock for 3 hours.

My friend just did the exact same thing but used a different one way valve. His leaks like a mo-fo.

This is what I have.

Same set up I have but the blockoff is on the outside of the hull.... when riding it squeezes into the toe section of my right foothold, I ride goofy footed, and screws back in when sitting in water.... for the most part my HD sump valve doesn't leak either...... can sit for 6 hours and only take on minimal water. I like to think its because I installed the valve on a downward angle so outside water pressure helps hold it shut..... the flapper is more like / than |........

just run a 90 bend so you can dump the water into the pump area and you wont ever break your valve from hard tail landings
