screw settings

Like an hour ago I finished putting my ski back together after adding dual cooling. Im also wondering, will going from single to dual cooling affect the setting of my screws? Its been at all closed and top open.

originally i ran my pipe 3/4 open on the bottom screw, mid and top closed. ski ran poor when i tried to run just the top open various amounts.

now after the porting, i have the bottom cracked and my top open a little but i forget the exact amount.

use the couple settings people suggest to get a good baseline and fine where you want them, then fine tune it to your ski. that why its called tuning and why there are screws there in the first place. i think a lot more people could have extra power if they dialed in their ski instead of just going to the generic "freestyle" advice and never fine tune. have fun.

Yeah, who wants a pipe that says "Limited". Who is going to want to "limit" their engine?

there is are three holes inside your pipe which spray water in you pipe. the screws adjust how much water is sprayed. the different locations alter the way the pipe acts. so you can tune your pipe by controlling where and how much water is sprayed.

Have we ever compiled a list of bpipe screw settings along with engine specs and what has worked for each? I see a bunch of hit and miss threads for pipe settings. I just got some basic recommendations (from an engine builder) and thought it would be good info to include in the carb/engine/pump thread we had.

buy some BK twisters and be done with it. problem solved for easy pipe tuning. I've changed from :

bottom open 3/4, mid and top closed to bottom closed, mid 1/4, top 1/2 and it was really flat after about 1/4 throttle. I've changed back to the 3/4 bottom, closed, closed and throttle response is crisp and the engine stays strong from bottom to top. I was impressed how much of a difference that made.
