The Sweetest superfreak build in Scandinavia! cause there is only one ;) not even sure if there is one i europe yet? someone has got to be first :D

i´m super stoked for this build and i have beens saving up for it for quite a while. or i saved for a house bought a freak :D best thing is that my girlfriend since 5 years is nothing but supportive. some would say a stupid move. but i could push up house hunting for a year. my job situation was kinda shaky at the moment. i have no kids or anything so it didnt feel like a bad move. easier to save money when living in an apartment. papa gots to have hims toys!

The hull haven´t arrived yet but it is soon to be on it´s way.

It´s a Badass 2011 carbon -4.3" layup somewhere between 55-60 and a 8.5 hood. if i remember it correctly.

the engine will be

Dasa lamey cast cylinder pw.
measured stroke t 69,3?
bore was at 85,5
so that would be a 795cc

Boyesen reeds full spectrum carbs 49.

Limited b-pipe.

MSD total loss ignition.

running 215psi now on race gas. VP jet power. going to convert to pumpgas 98 octan(93,5 us)

pump:

Skat trak magnum pump 140mm non-sb

skat trak impeller, dont know impeller pitch right know will see how the one i have will do when i get to try it out.

Thrust EZ-pull.

Compositech carbon rideplate.

R&D scoop or a worx 201. will see which one works best.

controls:

Umi Pole or oem yamaha. will try umi and see if the length works out.

stock chinpad stripped and turfed

ATP steering system with umi bars.

Umi throttle.

the original idea was to buy this superfreak glass version and buy a jetmaniac bigbore.

thinking that it would still be a light hull and all the pros of the hulls where not just about the weight but the handling.

so i got to talking to tem. and he kinda convinced me into going carbon. cant say that i was that hard to convince. seeing that if i went carbon i would have a better FW ski and i would have the best and not need to upgrade anytime soon. if i went glass i would always wonder how much better the carbon is :).

so i went carbon. and decided to keep it cheap and go carbon with my stock 701. with the hop-ups i have.

then i got the feeling that i´m spending all this money on a hull i cant just skimp out on the motor. so i decided to atlest get a JM 718 or 771(sorry chris for going another direction after bothering you with all my questions)

and the this came up.
img9822medium.jpg

a good deal on a complete freestyle ski here in sweden. a compositech full carbon hull with a nice motor and all the stuff around it.

so i bought that ski sold that hull and will be dropping all those parts in to my superfreak. and voila a nice FW ski is made.

didnt give close to what i would have if i would have just bought the parts

and now i can sell my old ski complete and make some money there. to bad it´s winter here soon. but next summer will be awesome.

to start wrenching:

nice to have it on an pallet with a truck to get a good working height.

one happy camper. i mean pump remover.

all the parts nicely sorted for the superfreak :D

I was planning to do a glass hull too until Tem talked me into the carbon. I was worried the carbon would be too light in the surf but I love it.

Welcome to the family of freaks!

I'm moved by DASA power!
Agreed, you made the right choice by going with the carbon. Better to save just a bit more and not have it in the back of your mind that I wish I had gone with the carbon. I'm taking the same approach with the motor for my freak, I'm going to save just a little more and get the stroker dasa motor instead of the stock stroke. If you are going big, commit fully!

We do have the E85, but that's a completely different thing than race gas. Totally different jetting is required (so I'¨ve read). I hope there will be a "test" session in Sweden. As far as I know there's a Bob, a few Richters and now this one on Swedish soil. Would be cool to try one of these out.

seems like Tem is a damn fine sales man. haha.
i live up north in sweden. but will go down south in the summer to ride with some friends. and you are definatly welcome to try it out when i do so.

yes we have e85 and it has a octane RON 101-104
bad thing is that it is harmful to gaskets rubber and attracts water.

yes commit fully. or atlest commit s much that yu wont be dissapointed :D

yes chris ive heard that he is almost done. or done. doent realy matter if it would have taken a few more weeks. since it´s snowing outside right now.

family of freaks. sounds awesome. does everyone have matching tattoos?

thanks sano i´m psyched.

i think the wait on a hull is something like 2 months. cant say for sure you need to talk to tem about that. it depends on how many orders he has.
but for me i took three months since i wanted it later to have a chance to save some money. and that tem went for a roadtrip for about a month.

Updated with pics.

i would love to have a glass freak for surf. but the surf we get here aint big and it´s like a few times a year. maybe 2 in the summer when it´s warm enough to have fun riding.
i was have fun on a superjet also. but i want it to be me that holds me back from going big or doing crazy tricks not the ski.

Hi penken,
I think I've seen the compositech carbon prepeg ski for sale in france few month ago. Who was the previous owner ?
This hull was "collector", only 7 or 9 were made, yours seems to be in very good condition, like new.
I can try to have informations on this engine setup, If you want

it´s in very very good condition. and the new owner is actually the old owner. i bought the ski and he bought back the hull. he bought it in france in may i think. maybe june.

the guy i bought it from lives in sweden but he bought it from some guy in france who live close to paris. like 70km from paris close to the seine.

if you could get information on it that would be great. would love to know as much as possible. and if possible who built and ported the motor?

if it´s a collectors hull maybe i was to cheap. but dont realy have the money to just have it laying around.

greatly appreciated.

Hi penken,
I've contacted the last french owner (Marc Cailleux), he just rode this ski 1 or 2 ride, previous french owner was the 1st owner, I don't know his exact name but aka "Riko". Riko ski was build by a man who work (or has worked) with Franky Zappatta, and I know this guy. I'll try to contact him in order to have informations.
regards

Seb
