I got it to run, Let it run on the hose for a while today, and after class I'm going to take it out. I had two hoses switched to the carb (embarrassing), as for the reeds, they're oem. This picture isn't of mine, but see how theres three sections there, one of them is about a third missing on the left side of the left reed valve . Its not one of the pedals, its the inside screen. not sure what you call it.

If it's the inside flexible screen, then that's what I call a pedal. If it runs decent I'd say you could continue to do so but personally I'd find a set of OEM reeds and replace it. I thnik Jetmaniac has a couple sets for sale.

Yea I replied to a couple threads, I'm going to replace them for sure. It does seem to run okay though but I'm sure it will just break more if I continue to ride it the way it is.

It will also effect signal and fuel delivery and could result in a lean cylinder. Nobody needs that.

Pulled the motor, disassembled. Top and bottom was toast, but not from the water. Time for a 701
