Samoa Dunes 8/17-8/19

Ive only rode surf once, but am already hooked. I am going back again with a buddy this weekend, maybe a few buddies. We have 701 superjets, nothing too crazy. I know its a bit far for most riders but if anyone wanted to show up, we will be there all weekend. Camping is very close and is 17 bucks a night, or you can travel 10 miles to a party beach and its 14 bucks. There is an all you can eat cookhouse about 2 miles from the riding area. You can launch directly from the beach, its an ohv area, or into the bay from a boat launch. Ive been told the surf here is bigger than usual, but I cant say for sure as this is the only surf Ive ever been in. You can ride dirtbikes, and other such toys out there also.

Its located in Humboldt County Far Nor Cal

Was huge. Didnt try any flips. Dont have the balls yet. Met some dudes on kawis. Going back the 7th. Surf there is epic and addicting.

Cracked my hood on the side and in front, and buddy sunk his ski twice, Very good times, lovin it.

You can thank gopro and there :):):):)ty ass case for their camera for the lack of footage. The ocean got a nice snack when the stupid ass box came open. Buying another and custom fitting the case shut, and will have footage next time.

I actual called gopro and they ackknowleded the flaw. It's been reported many times. They don't offer any sort of
compensation. It was clicked shut for hours and then decided to magically open itawlf Found used one for 70 so no worries.

It would be awesome to get some riders up there that know what they are doing. It would help our riding out a lot.

heres a pic of the cookhouse. Epic food, they only have 1 choice of meal, but it was Fried chicken, Ribs that fall apart on the fork, soup, salad, bread, 3 bean soup, and pie. It all you can eat also, they bring you food until you tell them to stop. Insane good, and so nice after a hard day of riding.

Others are pics of the surf, looks small on camera, but its big.

The first day we were there this last time, it was huge. 10ft+. I got beat back into the shore so many times. The 2nd day was about half as bad and was alot easier to actually get through and out. Locals told us its gonna get bigger as year goes on. We will be out there. Hopefully my finger heals by the 7th or Im gonna have to superglue it and just say f it

Im interested in checking your area out.. I wont be able for a few weeks but I would make the drive, Ive been running down to Pismo for the last few years.. Pismo is a 4hr drive but I love the surf...

Well, we didnt go this weekend. We found a nice crack in the front of my buddies ski, so we are repairing that. We ARE going the weekend of the 28th. 3 of us at least. 2 superjets and a blaster.

We would LOVE more riders to show up, and like mentioned will share campsites. We are very easy to get along with, and willing to help wrench or lift anyones skis. PM CALL OR TEXT 530-736-1961 John

Its not really my area, its a bit of a drive for me, but its a known legal spot to ride, with giant waves always, so thats where we go.
